  Fish curry in the UK has always lagged behind the meat dishes with the prawn dishes only making the restaurant menu in a permanent manner. With the advent of the more adventurous traveller, however it has begun to rise in demand and popularity. For a quick and simple curry follow the recipe below for a tasty Indian treat.

Fish Curry

Ingredients:

4 slices of fish
1 tsp of black cumin
2 green chillies
1 chopped tomato
3 tbsp oil
1 tsp turmeric
Salt to taste
1 tsp chilli powder
1 tsp coriander leaves

Method:

Heat oil in a pan. When it is hot, add the green chillies and cumin seeds. Then add fish, turmeric, salt, red chilli powder, chopped tomato and coriander leaves. Cook for 15 min. You can add mustard oil or olive oil (about 1tsp). Serve with hot rice.
